After shooting 350 weddings all over the UK and Europe I have decided to hang up my wedding camera and focus on commercial photography and video.
I stumbled into wedding photography while shooting my friend’s back garden, a super laid-back wedding in 2003. Back then I was still working in an ad agency and looking for a way out.
A slipped disc was a painful way out of one career and back into the creative world of Photography via an MA at the University of Falmouth. This was a totally joyous year, full of photography projects, pushing creative boundaries and being involved with projects that I could only dream of.
But more wedding enquiries came through from friends and friends of friends, because I created arty- low key-festival-vibe wedding photography. Non traditional, full of love telling the stories of the families.
While I continue to shoot commercial work midweek in the low season I set up Becky Craven Creative properly in 2017. This is commercial, product, food and hospitality photography and video for savvy business owners who want to stand out online. My social-first approach has won me clients and then when I lost all my wedding work in 2020… I got my weekends back and well i decided to focus just on commercial photography and video work.
