Gorgeous abundance of colour and true vintage inspiration. Emma and Adam did not follow a theme or create a vintage style wedding they live vintage everyday. As I walked into there beautiful home I stepped back to another era, I was in the 1950’s it was so beautiful!

Vintage Wedding Love

It maybe really trendy to have a vintage wedding theme but this wedding was a true extension to who these guys really are. When Adam told me how he proposed to Emma it had me laughing out loud, so the story goes something like this >>> They were moving into our new house. They had just finished a very, very long day moving and unpacking. Adam called to Emma frantically from the loft, pretending one of the cats had got stuck somewhere. Panicking, she rushed up, to find him on one knee, ring in hand, asking me to marry him. Completely unexpected so Emma’s initial reaction was ‘are you joking?!’

Their bridesmaid Thea designed all of the stationery – she is a genius! The inspiration of the table decorations came from a mutual love of Radio 4 programme, while Adam’s very clever mum cross stitched all the table names and table plans. The home made desserts were absolutely delicious, while Stambridge Memorial Hall was decorated to perfection.

Emma’s dress was ‘Darla’ by House of Mooshki, and her fabulous shoes were ‘Lulu’ by Rachel Simpson, which I coveted all day! Adam had a suit made at King & Allen, and wore a pair of his brown brogues.

I loved the idea of flowery bridesmaid dresses, which were found online at British Retro. The dresses were teamed them with ivory petticoats, and brown t-bar sandals by Agnes & Norman. I loved their outfits so much.

We were both so nervous about having our photos taken, and Adam in particular is so uncomfortable with it, but they made us feel SO at ease. We didn’t even know they were there, and so many of our guests commented on how discreet they were. And the best bit is our photos are AWESOME!!
