Catching up with my girlfriends and taking time out is I just don’t do enough! So before wedding season kicks off for me later this month I decided to spend some time crafting, chatting and walking on the beach.
I headed off to see Sue and her new beautiful new sewing shop aptly named The Little Sewing Company and neatly placed on the high street in Christchurch, Dorset. It was an utter treat to spend the time catching up with old friends and meeting new folk while managing to all make a beautiful cushion with personalised buttons too {thats was my favourite bit of the day}
On our last girls weekend away, about 18 months ago, Sue mentioned that she would quite like a little sewing shop, a place to run workshops and a place that people come together to feel confident to have a go. Oh my word, this place is just perfect, as soon as you go through the door I felt transported back to my Great Aunts kitchen where I first learnt to sew. I was in my own fabric sweetie shop – “I want it all and I want it now!!” beautiful array of contemporary fabrics, tread and patterns. I loved every minute, thanks to Sue for all her help, I can’t wait to go back, next time I plan to make a skirt….
