Family Photographer in Devon

Living in Devon as a family photographer provides an abundance of brilliant places to take photographs.

Working naturally with children and families in a location, that you all feel comfortable in is important. It helps you all relax and therefore works with me to capture your natural style. The photographs I create with your family and the kids is a collaboration.

I make this happen by coming along to your home or a place that you hang out at weekends and watch you all just being you.

I don’t use a studio with a white background, I find these places really unnatural and so far from how we feel relaxed as a family. The sessions I carry out are not posed, I promise they are really fun, relaxed and of course naturally documenting your time as a family together.

Working as a family photographer in Devon means if you are on holiday in the area or are lucky to live all the time, I can take you to some beautiful locations or we can go your favorite spot.

I believe that photography is about telling your story, and not so much about the stuff you have. It’s the stories we pass on down the generations and the photo albums that we hold close to our hearts, that has true meaning.

There are moments where I will direct you, I will guide you to natural light, I will chat to you all, and put you at ease. The first moments of a family photography session are not about taking photos, that comes later, it’s about meeting you and relaxing into the moment.

As a Mum myself I know how many photographs we take of all the sweet moments that my kids have, but when I look for a photograph of all of us all together then I only have a handful. So I get a professional photographer to come along for part of the day to capture us as we are right now, these photographs I cherish. The moments are fleeting and kids change so fast, having a creative photography session each year is great present for all the family.
