Gitta and Sim’s Alternative Homemade Devon Wedding!!

 

Gitta and Sim got married whoop whoop!! This is the ultimate DIY home made, alternative hand-fasting and homegrown wedding ever all here in Devon! This was a union of two families, Gitta from Holland and Sim originally from Devon. All there family and friends played a massive part in there wedding and it goes something like this –  Sim’s Dad conducted the hand-fasting in Uffculm Village Hall, Sim’s mum made Gitta’s wedding dress and all the bridesmaid dresses, Gitta’s Sister made there wedding rings from melting down there parents wedding rings how amazing is that!! Sim’s Gran might actually be Mary Berry as she made the most delicious delicious wedding cake. The miles of bunting, ceremony arch and the the decoration were handmade, veggies home grown and used in the tasty salads, it was heaven!!

This was a feast of colour and music, a wedding that define who these two people were. The evening kicked of with friends getting on stage, who are super talented singer song writers. Of course this wedding rocked with the bride taking to the stage with her guitar and singing a few beautiful songs. We partied late into the night, I love it all and I am so so happy to be able to tell the story of this truly fabulous wedding.
