A few nights away at the spectacular Fowey Hall in Cornwall, felt like I was stepping into a scene from The Wind in the Willows; full of grand facades, beautiful countryside, twinkly water in the distance and the true feeling of being really, really far away from it all. I love Cornwall, I used to live there it was the best place plus I went to University College Falmouth, but I very rarely visit this part. Fowey Hall is a great destination for a wedding especailly a family with lots of kid, as they cater perfectly for children. There is even a selection of welly’s all neatly lined up at the door, early tea, super helpful staff and kids dining room. I will definitely be back with my tribe! You can see my amazing suite (gulp!) on my instagram as I was so excited I had to show you all! wedding photographer cornwall, Wedding photographer Fowey
I escaped for two days of creative inspiration with the Photography Farmers with headteachers Lisa Devlin and Adam Bronkhorst. I love learning, honing my skills, looking at things from another perspective and talking photography and weddings. I was a treat to see Sophie King founder of Crown and Glory headcandy who live from just down the road. Sophie and Gareth were our willing models for the afternoon. It was a fab chance to try out new kits and discuss ideas on how to create a photograph “moment”- something that is captured naturally. I thoroughly enjoyed the time away to think and play artistically, no right, no wrong, no wifi, no phone signal… it felt a bit odd not being attached to the mainframe for two days but I managed.
